Zimbabwe Missions Update from Rod and Ellie Hein

Women from Zimbabwe get baptized

It’s one thing to watch a movie like “WONDERWOMAN” and then to preach to women about what they can be. It’s fun to teach and put out a challenge, but it’s quite another thing to DO IT and to equip them to DO IT THEMSELVES!

As a ministry we have broken through many of the barriers and limitations of religion and culture. We’ve paved the way by going into far forbidden regions on foot, motor cycle, dug-out canoe and any means possible. Our women are fearless and strong. Nothing can hold them back from their mission to take hope, love and joy; to teach and preach and bring freedom in every place they go. I love this report that shows the excitement and joy of some of the poorest people in the world. They have the ability to appreciate the beauty and simplicity of friendship and love; to give and receive with uncomplicated hearts.

Adventure!

Eight women. Our destination: Zambezia Province. Our Vision and Purpose: To reach women who are unable to come to our regional conferences in Inhaminga.
It was a long and hard journey … We sang together, we laughed a lot. For a moment, just for a moment … we forgot our children and husbands, and we had fun! The body was tired, but the Spirit was alert and vibrant. We knew our mission and purpose!

Thank you Pastors Vina, Graca and Rosa; Inês, Margarida, Rosita and Laissa, for the privilege of venturing along with you! It was a great blessing to serve the in the Kingdom alongside you.
At Tambone we were received warmly! The people spent the morning standing on the side the road waiting for us. They came full of joy and singing, to carry our bags.. We prayed together on the road! My heart was moved, it was impossible not to cry … so much love, respect and consideration that these people showed to us.

We were met with this song:

“The love of Jesus gives me joy…
I have not tired of doing good…
My heart loves you Lord” …

These are the praises that the Church of the Lord Jesus is singing on the Zambezi. There is no way to describe in words how beautiful it is! My prayer is: “Lord, keep the simplicity of this place, do not let this pure gospel get lost over the years. Keep this fire burning, keep this purity alive.”

They worship with supernatural beauty. Young people and children with their hearts poured out before God. The local church leader there is Alves. He was a student in 2012, and he’s doing a beautiful job. Together with him is his father Ernesto, who takes care of several other Churches Afrika Wa Yesu in that area. There are 10 Inhaminga graduates who are active and helping in the area of Tambone.

The next day we went on the back of motor cycles to the town of Motto. The church of Motto wa Yesu is led by Tonequesse, an Inhaminga Bible Student graduate of student of 2004. He was waiting for us with great joy. Nine local AWYesu churches were represented at this conference.

Pastora Vina Reports

The Women’s Conferences were amazing. In Milange they are very open, full of hunger and God’s Word; it impacted their lives and many became free, so many women cured of diseases and sorrows. The biggest problem that we find there is the subject of marriage and many divorces.

We also had time with the pastors of the different zones that were waiting for us. Afrika wa Yesu has 19 churches there and the work is very positive but there are not enough bibles. The leaders go to the zones with a notebook and pass the verses in their notebook to be taught in teach church on Sundays.

Tambone wa Yesu is alive with four churches open. The Leader was a student in my class. I am very happy in my heart to see him working well.

At Morumbala wa Yesu many women were waiting for us with such joy, there were 12 churches each sent some women for the conference, a total of 180. Many were cured of infirmities and some of them were freed of the spirits of the fear. The people are very passionate about the gospel and attentive, valuing the word, I was much impressed by this.

I want to come back with Lino to minister to the whole church in these places, not only the women. God has deeply stirred my heart for these regions.

Ed. Vina is the Women’s Leader of the Central Region. A few years ago we sent her with Deborah to Pensacola to attend ‘Apostolic Women’ with Dr. Robin Harfouche. This greatly impacted her life. She is a dynamic prophetic preacher with miracles, signs and wonders confirming the Word.

LEGACY IN ACTION, Mother and Daughter Duo. When Deborah was little she used to tell people, “When I grow up, I am going to be exactly like my mother and I will preach about Jesus.” While this is indeed a compliment and touches my heart, I am happy to say that she is not exactly like me, she is her own precious self and outshines me in most areas!
