Rome wanted to know if the rabbi actually thought He was King of the Jews, because it was obvious to all the world that there was only one king, and his name was Caesar. Jesus didn’t hesitate with His reply. “Actually, I was born and came into the world to testify to the truth. All who love the truth recognize that what I say is true.” And Pontius Pilate said, “What is truth?” He looked Truth in the face, flipped off a cynical reply, and sent Truth to die on a Roman cross. Today, the world is saying, “Truth is what I say it is,” and with the world coming unglued, the church cannot be silent. This weekend, Ron will talk to us from the Scriptures about why we need to know that not all sin is equal.
