Position Title: Worship & Prayer Pastor

Position: Full-Time

Schedule: Wednesday – Sunday

Primary Role: The Worship Pastor is a spiritual and organizational leader who helps oversee the Worship Ministry of Grace in conjunction with the Creative Director. Oversight includes, but is not limited to, leading all musical aspects of weekend, midweek, prayer, & young adult services; implementation of the Grace vision, mission, and strategy in the worship area; helping to craft the themes for each service in conjunction with the Creative Director; training and nurturing team members while working with various groups throughout the church to use music and the arts for worship; and ensuring each worship service is led in such a way that the congregation has an opportunity to celebrate and connect with God.

Duties:

• Primary worship leader for weekend, midweek, prayer, young adult services
• Preferable to be able lead from guitar or piano.
• Work with Creative Director to plan and execute worship song selection / rotation
• Work with Creative Director and Worship Coordinator to plan and execute service scheduling
• Lead band and vocal rehearsals as needed
• Work with Creative Director and Worship Coordinator on recruiting and auditions
• Work with Creative Director and Music Director to plan and execute opportunities for team / volunteer musical development (workshops, resources, etc.)
• Work with NextGen Worship & Prayer Pastor to plan and execute musical pipeline for students and kids (Ramp)
• Lead quarterly Worship Arts huddles
• Plan and execute monthly worship arts gathering to build community, discipleship, and spiritual development
• Plan and execute a weekly worship team devotional (weekends)
• Provide one-on-one pastoral counsel to worship staff / a team members as needed
• Work with creative team to plan and execute special services (Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Anniversary Services, and more)
• Work with Music Director to plan and execute monthly song writing sessions

• Worship Arts meetings
• One-on-one with Creative Director
• Creative Team Meetings (Creative Director, Tech Director, Communications Director)
• Ministry Team Meetings
• Meetings with worship staff and a team members as needed

• 5+ years of experience in a worship pastoral role
• Proficient lead vocalist & harmonizer
• Proficient in one or more lead instruments (piano or guitar)
• Degree in Music
