Membership Classes

Four 90-minutes Classes
The quickest way to learn about Christianity and Grace Church
Rotating schedule allows you to take the class on Sundays, Wednesdays or Saturdays

In just four classes you can learn about the church's beliefs, history, vision, values and strategy.

101: Discovering Church Membership

This is the starting point — “first base.” This class will focus on what it means to be a Christian, why membership is important, the mission and vision of Grace Church.

102: Discovering Spiritual Maturity

God’s plan is to transform each Christ-follower into the image of His Son, Jesus. In this class you will learn how you can cooperate with God to see this happen. Developing a strong devotional life and how to live a life filled with God’s Holy Spirit are discussed.

103: Discovering Your Mission

God has given us all the incredible privilege of sharing His love with others in our own unique way. This class will introduce you to the basics of helping others on their journey toward God.

104: Discovering Your Ministry

This is where you “cross home” in the membership process. God has an important place of ministry for each one of us. This class emphasizes the foundational principles of discovering that ministry: living according to God’s purposes, serving and giving.

Leaders of Grace

Resources for the heroes of Grace: our lay leaders

Volunteer Leader Marty Holtz helps lead small group discussion among engaged couples

In the book of Ephesians, the Apostle Paul makes it clear that
pastors like Ron, evangelists like Billy Graham, and teachers like Mrs.
McGuillocudy (you do remember your 3rd grade teacher, don't you?) are
not supposed to be doing all the ministry. God assigned some people to
be apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers and evangelists so that they
could equip everyone in the church to be the ones doing God's work.

If it wasn't for great lay leaders of Grace, very little would get done
around here. As it is, we have over 150 ministries meeting people's
needs, leading people to Christ and honoring God. Our small group and
ministry leaders carry the charge and the zeal to the members of their
groups and help them serve God. Imagine:

  • Sonrite Ministry of Grace Church St. Louis MOA man begins loving his wife in an unselfish way because of what he learns in his small group.
  • A woman demonstrates the peace of God in a stressful job because her prayer group has been studying the relationship of prayer and peace.
  • A high school student gets up the courage to invite his classmate to Student Ministry because his discussion group leader comes across as cool.

These individuals are doing God's work, living His way because our leaders have been pouring into their lives.

Are you one of our leaders? If so, know that we appreciate you more than we can say. If not, consider getting involved. You won't find anything more rewarding than investing yourself in people.

On the right are links to files that may help you as a leader. Each is saved as either a PDF or MS Word file.
