Having a child with a special need is extremely challenging for a parent or
caregiver. If you are a parent or caregiver of a special needs child, you are
able to bring your child to our Special Edition ministry and know they are in
good hands. Our volunteers are trained and caring people serving in this area. A
pager is given to each family while they attend adult service. We want you the
have the peace of mind that we would be able to contact you immediately if
needed.
Currently we are serving kids with a variety of special needs such as:
- Downs Syndrome
- Autism
- Bipolar
- Seizure disorder
- ADD & ADHD
- Cerebral Palsy
- PTSD
If you have a child or know someone with a child that has special needs, we
want to encourage you to call and talk to our Special Edition Coordinator or
just come by and visit our area and see how we minister to these very special
children.
When these kids come together for their church time they, sing and dance to
Bible praise songs. They hear the Word of God from the “My First Look”
curriculum and they pray together. After their church time they do a craft that
relates to their lesson on that week and then have a small snack.
There is plenty of play time for these kids. The all are in a place where
there is plenty of room for them to run and jump and play. We even have a quite
room for them if needed.
Grace Church believes that ALL Children are special to God and that He has a
plan and purpose for each one of them.
Proverb 3:5-6 "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, lean not on your own
understanding, in all of your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths
straight."
