Persisttence pays off when bringing others to Christ!

Evangelism, at all levels, will work if you are persistent. A couple
of years ago I snuck in a quick blurb about how happy I am to have
found Grace church during a conversation with a friend. After being
patient for years and continually commenting on how much my marriage,
family and life in general have been improved because of my beliefs, I
finally invited him and his family to the Little Drummer Boy at
Christmas. After that he knew where Grace was and was willing to "try
out" a church service.
In a short 2 months, I quote my friends comment from this weekend "I
had no idea that I could enjoy church so much or even understand how
important that it is to have God in my life. This is a lot different
than my strict religious upbringing that I strayed away from long ago
and I get excited when Sunday morning comes around each week because we
learn more about God and keep seeing places where He is working in our
lives."
Keep in touch with those that God puts in your path and keep inviting
them to "try out" a church service at Grace. The seeds that you plant
will eventually become fruitful!

Persistence is the key

I have persistently asked my parents to service with my husband and I.   They finally agreed to come to this past years Dummer Boy Service after I promoted the heck out of it.  Thank you soooooooooo much staff for bringing back what I believe is Grace’s greatest Get-R-Done, one ask away service.  Harvester Church has the Journey to Bethlehem and Grace has the Drummer Boy!  They really enjoyed it.  A far cry from the last midnight mass they attended in the early 70’s.    My Dad said after the message – he was done with church and religion.  I have continued to invite them but with out much success.  My Mom attended a regular service a few months ago.  I then sold them the sizzle for this last weekends Celebrate 30 service.   I got no resistance when I told them a form of the Drummer Boy was going to be there and that I would buy dinner.   My Dad once again really enjoyed the services and I think the message was clear that no one was going to push them into anything they did not want to pursue.  I think the door is open to more invites – if I buy dinner of course – but the persistence is beginning to show signs of moving in the right direction.   Grace has always delivered when you FINALLY get your one ask to a service.  Congratulations to the entire church family at Grace and Thanks.
