"The Spirit of Christ" or "The Holy Spirit"?
There is some discussion about the indwelling of the Spirit, as taught
in the New Testament. There are times when we read that Jesus lives his
risen life in us (Galatian 2:20; Colossians 1:27); and other passages
(Romans 8:9-11, 14,16) seem to favor the role of the Holy Spirit living
his life in us.

Holy Spirit
Its
not the either or concept. God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are a
Trinity, we are created in HIS image....and so many people stop at
that, but it also says we were created in his Likeness. Personally I
beleive the LIKENESS part of the trinity is our mind will and emotions,
as scripture plainly states, God is a very emotional God. He is
Jealous, gets angry and loving as well.
We are not nor will we ever be a Trinity, however we are a tri-Unity.
As all 3 are one in the Trinity and we were created in their image and
likeness. WE are 3 also, Perhaps if I chart it like this:
The Trinity: God- the Master of all things created / A Tri-Unity: Our Mind Will and Emotions
Jesus God made flesh / Our Body
Holy Spirit-Teacher comforter etc / Our Spirit
We are like HIM in all ways yet not perfect as He, even tho he commands
we be so in Peters writings. If we had 400 years to live we might get
it right.
The book of Acts shows many times that people were FILLED with the Holy
Spirit and began speaking in tongues. In this time frame most often
happened at salvation. Yet after being saved and filled with the Holy
Spirit, on other occasions that depending on the situation at hand and
the need, The disciples were FILLED or received an annointing with the
Holy Spirit. So even tho thru our rebirth in Christ the Holy Spirit
indeed lives in us, He is not always in the Annointing phase. We just
need to be willing and ready to receive His annointing for His Glory.
I hope this just hasn't confused anyone. This explaination was given to me by the Holy Spirit that lives within me.
