Pascal's Wager
This guy a long time ago named Pascal thought up something that's now known as Pascal's Wager.
He said that if God exists, he'd better believe in him, because if he didn't believe, he'd be in trouble.
And if God doesn't exist, then it doesn't hurt him to believe in Him while he's alive, so he might as well believe in God.
Do you get it? Either way, it makes sense to believe in God.

Sound Reasoning, but missing the point.
Definitely sound reasoning. But then again, the point of believing in God is to garner a relationship with him. Not to just blindly believe as to not 'be in trouble' in the end. Great conversation starter though! :)
