Some things are nearly impossible to understand unless you've experienced them yourselves. That's why support groups are so valuable. They allow us to meet with other people who've experienced the same kinds of hardships we're going through. We can lean on each other and help each other through whatever challenges we share, whether those are health challenges, addictions or past abuses.
